2013 12-17 By Tina Mena. Simbang Gabi is a nine-day series of masses celebrated by our Filipino community. Paróls--star-shaped Christmas lanterns--were beautifully displayed. The design of the paról represents the Star of Bethlehem that guided the Three Kings to the manger. It also symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the Filipinos' hope and goodwill during the Christmas season
